Dedicated to individuals with hearing loss.
Hamilton Telecommunications has been connecting people for more than 125 years.
What began in 1901 as a small regional telephone company in Aurora, Nebraska has grown into one of the Midwest’s most trusted communications and technology providers – and that same commitment to keeping people connected has never wavered.
Hamilton® CapTel® is an extension of that mission. Since 2003, Hamilton CapTel has made more than 470 million captioned telephone conversations possible for individuals with hearing loss – delivering the clarity and confidence that come from being able to read every word of a phone call as it’s spoken to the user. It’s the kind of proven, dependable technology you can count on every day.
Hamilton CapTel is provided by Hamilton Relay, a pioneer in telecommunications relay services (TRS) since 1991. For more than three decades, Hamilton Relay has been dedicated to serving individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, or have difficulty speaking – and remains one of the most experienced providers in the country.
Hamilton Relay is a division of Hamilton Telecommunications, a diversified communications and technology company offering local telephone service, internet, data center services, business-class Ethernet, digital IPTV, and more.
Through it all, Hamilton’s culture has been shaped by the people it serves and the employees who show up every day with a spirit of hard work, innovation, and genuine care. Direct from the heart of the Midwest – and now well into our second century – we remain committed to quality, reliability, and the belief that everyone deserves to be part of the conversation.
